The NEMPRA series is going to have similar rules to the other motorcycle pulling series except that any motorcycle manufacturer will be allowed to compete.

About the pulling bikes: (See pictures at the bottom of the page)

New: The How To's on Building a Trike Puller

They can be built either as a trike or solo puller. They have to be built of at least 25% American (Harley Davidson, Indian, or Victory Motorcycle) or Metric (Yamaha, Kawasaki, Honda etc.) parts. The engine must be a V-Twin. **note: we are now allowing v-twin or otherwise. The rear wheels are either racing or tractor tires. They allow for grip when trying to pull the transferable weight sled down the track!! To give you an idea of what these tires are like you can take a look at the competition traction puller tires that many competitors use by clicking on one of the following links below:

Lawntec and Dick Cepek Puller Tires

The bike and rider combined can weigh no more than 1,000 pds. There will be 2 divisions and 2 classes in each:

American & Metric

**Right now both divisions will pull against each other. As the series grows this may change.**

see picture below of a metric puller to be built soon.

1. Solo puller || 2. Trike puller

Gas: may use pump gas only || Fuel: may use nitrous oxide, nitromethane, or alcohol as fuel

Trike Puller

1. The Trike's wheelbase cannot exceed 92 inches, and the combined weight of the rider, bike, and equipment cannot exceed 1,000lbs for either Gas or Fuel class. The staff must approve any motorcycle before it can compete. Competitors may be weighed after each run at the request of the staff.

2. Trike must have a functioning kill switch

3. The competitor must provide his/her own hitch device. The hitch device will be a ring measuring 2 inches inside diameter, and it must be no more than 15" off the ground, nor farther than 15" from the center of the rear axle to the hooking point.

4. Trike must be equipped with rubber tires. Nothing can be attached to the tires, (ie: chains, studs, steel, etc.) The maximum tire diameter is 30". Dual rear wheels are allowed.

Solo Puller

The solo pullers will follow the same specifications as listed above except for:

1. The competitor must provide his/her own hitch device. The hitch device will be a ring measuring 2" inside diameter, and it must be no higher than the centerline of the front axle, nor farther than 24" from the center of the rear axle.

2. Dual rear wheels not allowed.

** We currently do not have any Metric pullers built yet but are working on it. If you are interested in getting involved and would like to build a puller please contact us.
